Improving Lives are seeking a
Full time support worker (no personal care) to provide an independent support service for people connected with a faith group in Nottingham city and county.
Travel around the City and county will be required – a driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
Improving Lives is a registered charity (registered Charity No. 1146094) supporting adults with complex health and social needs. We offer an individualised service to enable people to manage the challenges they face more effectively.
We have an exciting opportunity to join a new project which aims to support, primarily older people, to lead fulfilling lives in their community.
Salary £17,500 to £22,000 dependent on experience
Main purpose of the role:
To assess peoples’ needs and risks and ensure an appropriate and timely response from referral onwards.
Enable people to undertake day to day tasks such as attending appointments and shopping Provide a bespoke support service to beneficiaries to meet their identified needs or enable them to access other appropriate services that will meet those needs.
Work in partnership with other agencies to ensure people’s needs are met.
Enable people to become more confident in expressing their views, decrease their social isolation and increase their sense of being part of their community.
